Bookwell is a booking platform making it easier to book beauty, massage and wellness appointments. I was recently contacted to give it a try and made an appointment to check out a salon in the city called Absolutely Polished Nails.  I live by my Google calendar but I often leave making time for myself to the last minute, so being able to book self love appointments with ease was something I wanted to hear more about. I checked out the website and although Absolutely Polished Nails was suggested to me it was easy to find and I made the booking myself. The website is easy to use and you can sort by service, suburb, postcode or venue. Now I probably would never have found Absolutely Polished Nails on my own, it is a small salon with a lot of love. Greeted by Val who seems like she has a loyal client base of many years, loves cats and is the trusted woman to not only be the ear who listens but is great with the file. Nai is the sweetest, cutest person who has ever done nails. Nai guided me in the direction of using gel which I'd never tried before so was a little nervous as I've always used old school polish. I also didn't know that you can have nail art done with gel polish. Nai absolutely 'nailed' (pun intended) a Marimekko Unikko pattern and helped me choose the colours. The deluxe pedicure was ever so relaxing, and the salon is so lovely and quiet I even managed to get some emails done while my toes were being painted in a nude gel colour called "Oh So Chic".... too fitting. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Making a booking using Bookwell with quick response and text message reminders was followed by a great time in the salon. I can see myself using @bookwellau again for some more instant 'ME' time bookings..
