ZONZO ESTATE

We were greeted and seated at a cute table for two before our chef selected meals arrived at the table, instantly our eyes lit up, our mouths watered and my belly was ready for the Italian feast to be consumed..
Crumbed Artichoke hearts, Vegetarian Arancini, Schiacciata (flat bread with gorgonzola, olives and herbs) and Gamberi Piccanti (tiger prawns marinated in chilli, garlic and parsley). The prawns were a standout, they grow their own garlic and chilies for their oils and it tastes amazing on the prawns. Mains then followed with a dish of Spanner Crab ravioli covered in a delicious buttery thyme sauce, a radiant radichio and orange salad and a pizza with walnuts, speck and marscapone. It was finished with the most perfect tiramisu, big enough to share. 

The owner Rod is one of the friendliest people I have met, his family-friendly restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere and I must say I have never been to a restaurant where every staff member actually seems happy to be there, the service was impeccable and you could tell all of the staff love their jobs. 

Zonzo Estate isn't just a restaurant and winery, it is also home to many special weddings all year round, we were fortunate enough to have a look at their barn that was about to be set up for a wedding that evening. The space is amazing with views to match and had me buzzing and talking about a potential wedding there with my boyfriend, although I have a few years to wait for that.. 

I had such an enjoyable afternoon, I can't wait to go back with friends and family. If you are after a relaxed space, incredible food and want to get out of the city, Zonzo Estate should definitely be on the list.
