OAKS DAY

I decided to have a low key Spring Racing season this year, only attending Oaks Day with my gal pal Sophia Lazarides  in the very lush Lavazza Marquee. ​

My prep began with finding the ultimate shoe, which I found at the Bared Footwear Spring Racing Fashion Launch, the pink metallic was screaming at me and the perfect little shoe became mine. I knew then that I wanted a BIG BOLD pattern (as always) and I knew from my sleuth window shopping work that LifewithBird had the perfect outfit. It was like magic. My Oaks Day outfit came together. I also needed something to sit on top of my curls, lucky for me i'm friends with the mega creative brain that is Chantelle Ford from Ford Millinery, I literally showed her a photo of my outfit and she handed me this amazingly cool origami like structure that was to be my headpiece and oh boy did I get endless comments on this beautiful creation. The cutest little clutch; a gift from my little sister Zoe who had recently travelled to Bali tied everything together and finished my outfit. Can't say I saw a single horse race (which I didn't actually mind) but I perched myself in the perfect corner watching the fashions stroll by, champagne in one hand and a canapé in the other!  Thankyou Oaks Day!
