I decided to have a low key Spring Racing season this year, only attending Oaks Day with my gal pal Sophia Lazarides in the very lush Lavazza Marquee. My prep began with finding the ultimate shoe, which I found at the Bared Footwear Spring Racing Fashion Launch, the pink metallic was screaming at me and the perfect little shoe became mine. I knew then that I wanted a BIG BOLD pattern (as always) and I knew from my sleuth window shopping work that LifewithBird had the perfect outfit. It was like magic. My Oaks Day outfit came together. I also needed something to sit on top of my curls, lucky for me i'm friends with the mega creative brain that is Chantelle Ford from Ford Millinery, I literally showed her a photo of my outfit and she handed me this amazingly cool origami like structure that was to be my headpiece and oh boy did I get endless comments on this beautiful creation. The cutest little clutch; a gift from my little sister Zoe who had recently travelled to Bali tied everything together and finished my outfit. Can't say I saw a single horse race (which I didn't actually mind) but I perched myself in the perfect corner watching the fashions stroll by, champagne in one hand and a canapé in the other!
