As I've been completely consumed by my work lately, it slipped my mind that Spring Carnival was quickly approaching. 26 degrees predicted for Derby Day... I just had to be there and I knew I had a great dress hanging in the wardrobe. After sorting out tickets, (very last minute might I add) I thought no stress, my bright 'blue' dress will look amazing. WRONG! I was promptly reminded by some on-trend friends that Derby Day is 'black & white' a small detail that I'd completely forgotten during the last minute preparations.... Panic was my first thought if i'm completely honest but Jane was my second and I instantly relaxed. My beautiful friend Jane from @Iwearmelbourne is a stylish lawyer with the biggest wardbrobe in Melbourne. She is across the latest and greatest in all things fashion and her wardrobe and style is evidence of that. As I arrived to her immaculately styled home (don't even get me started) she had two outfit choices for me. There was no need for two options as the first was perfect. A classic but edgy off the shoulder dress from Revoque by Adelaide designer Danica Ryan paired with a rhymical white headband by Melbourne designer Chantelle Ford from Ford Millinery. How easy was that, I thought as I walked out the door with a handful of beautiful Aussie designer pieces. The day was fun, the weather was perfect and I felt amazing! I'm very thankful my gorgeous friend helped me put together the perfect race day outfit. So please remember when you've tried on everything in your wardbrobe and you have NOTHING to wear call upon a stylish friend and get them to style something for you. That's what friends are for. If all else fails head over to @Iwearmelbourne and stalk her Instagram, there is plenty of inspiration for any occasion. #Jazzdbell #whatwouldsolangewear #whatjanewore
